The second foster

Morty

Morty was an easy foster; laid back, quiet, great with other dogs and quick to respond to commands. He came to us with kennel cough that had turned into pneumonia, and quickly recovered. When looking at his x-rays, the vet also discovered a number of BB’s stuck in Morty’s skin, which may explain the small lump on top of his head. He was also an escape artist and managed his way out of a fenced yard four times, three by digging out (one of these included slipping out of his collar) and once by pushing a board straight out of the fence. He required an owner who was escape-artist-dog savvy. And that’s what he got. Morty is now running around with three other dogs at his adoptive home in an escape proof yard, and being loved on like he should be.

This is what fostering is all about.
